Umii Design is a multidisciplinary studio that focuses on repurposing waste materials with a playful mind. The story of its first abstract line began with a spark of inspiration that came from a trove of myriad small-sized acrylic wastes on the floor of a small sign shop, about to end up in the waste bin. These modest remnants deserved a second chance. I envisioned a new purpose for them—playful layers for personalized abstract jewelry.
